Bottom Line: God is always with me.

The Pond

Sunday Mornings 9:00am and 10:45am

(ages 0-36 months)

Who is it for?

The Pond is for children 0 to 36 months.

When is it offered?

During the 9:00 service, The Pond is a fun play time for the children when they stay in the nursery and play with the toys and other children their age. At 10:45, the children use the curriculum and schedule listed below.

What curriculum is used?

We are using curriculum by reThink Group called “First Look”. This curriculum covers three basic truths - God Made Me, God Loves Me, and Jesus Wants to be My Friend. We are teaching one Bible verse each month. The children hear, see, and say the Bible verse and begin to both understand and memorize it.  The Bible stories, and most of the activities point toward the weekly focus.  The children receive a monthly magnet as well as a weekly parent resource called Small Talk.

What is the schedule like?

The children start out in The Pond (the upstairs Nursery), where the leaders will interact and start forming relationships with the children.  They have free play time and are given a snack. Then the one and two-year-olds (or when they are ready to attend) go to “The Backyard” (the former youth room) for a high energy, large group activity with other children ranging in age from one year to kindergarten age. This includes fun interactive worship, Bible verses, skits, Bible stories, puppets and more! After “The Backyard” they return to The Pond for free play and dismissal.

How does it work?

Our nursery ministry is available for newborns - 36 months during both of our morning services. Our nursery utilizes a sign-in system as well as vibrating pagers and "Toddler Tags" at the time of drop off. This assures that your child is picked up by only you or your designee and gives you the assurance that we are providing the safest possible environment that we can. The vibrating pagers are to silently alert parents during services if needed. All nursery volunteers are screened and background checks are performed to ensure the safety of your children.
