SMALL GROUP MINISTRY
At Maranatha, we have many small groups that meet in different
locations around our area. The following is a list of those
groups. If you are interested in joining one of these groups, or if
you would like to start one of your own, please contact the church
at
mbc@maranathabiblechapel.org or call 739-7168.
Custer Small Group
This small group
rotates around various homes, Thursday evenings year-round
from 6:30 to 8:30 (later for those wanting longer
fellowship), currently beginning a James Dobson series on 30
critical issues facing today's families. Format includes
opening prayer, choruses, program, prayer, dessert snack
(rotating) and fellowship. Their mission is to provide
biblically relevant teaching for today's high interest
issues, for everyone regardless of level of spiritual
maturity or denomination, glorify and worship Jesus Christ,
lift each other in prayer, and provide a safe, comfortable,
welcoming place where confidentiality and intimacy will
flourish. |

Tolpa Small Group
This small group
meets
on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 5:00pm-7:00pm (however,
dates are subject to change). We begin our meeting time
with pizza or a light dinner. We then have an icebreaker,
study time, and prayer time. We're currently doing a
series on the book of Joshua. We have primarily young families that attend the
group. The children come and childcare is provided for
them. Presently, we have six families attending the group. Right now, due to space limitations, this group
does not have availability for other families to join. |

Moms in Touch Small
Group
Our
Moms in Touch
prayer group meets every Monday morning to pray for our
children and their school (Gardner Road Elementary).
Any mom from any school district can attend this group.
Moms in touch is a national organization, and when two or
moms from the same school district have joined, they are
encourage to start their own group. You can get more
information at their
web site. We use
a prayer format that includes praising God for one of His
attributes, silent confession, thanksgiving for what God has
done, and intercession for our children, the teachers and
staff at their school, their school in general, and Moms in
Touch. Our prayer format sheet keeps us focused so that we
can accomplish all of our praying in about an hour, and not
get sidetracked with chit-chat. We make time afterwards for
those who want to stay and chat. Through our prayer group,
each of us has grown in our own prayer life, and we are able
to impact the lives of many people, including our children
and all those who work at and attend their school. To God
be the glory!
